All in all we had a good time. But no par for me. Got off to a rocking start, lost focus for a bit when the Partagas was lit, but just really relaxing that day, glad to be on the course.

The day got better, you can see my buddy “Mr. Setup” with a good position in the fairway
So this is the view of hole #18 at Frank house municipal course in Bessemer Alabama before me and my buddy started our round a couple of days ago. Does this foreshadow my day on the course…..
So I got a chance to play 18 today at Pine Hill Golf Club in Anniston. A nice course and good price. The plan, Bag the driver as soon as it caused any trouble… that started at the driving range. After a few drives I realize that it was going to be a 3 wood day and it was. We started on the back nine and as you can see from the scorecard I shot a 93! Yes that was an exclamation point. This was a personal best. Now I’m not much on would’ve and could’ve but I’m going there. I believe I would have shot in the low 80s..83 84 if it wasn’t for that darn driver. The few times pulled it out, my score paid the price. Now mind you I duffed a couple, hooked a few and topped one or two :) but for the most part they came after a wayward tee shot via the big stick. Any who all in it was a good round with my buddy Mr. Setup. My path to par is a long one but today made me think its not that far off.

The tee box, it’s where I would love to be
So I didn’t get to play 18 yesterday but I did get to play nine, as you can see from the scorecard I didn’t quite make par. I rode the bogey train most of the round. Battery was low so used a simple scorecard app. The third row was me keeping track of my club choice. The I is my buddy. We tied again
